Dannette Operation BELLE DRESS is in full swing. We’re making it up as we go because winging it is my jam. We are using my mom’s old sheer curtains, string, a roll of yellow tool, hot glue (of course!)… and are measuring using carpet tiles and toy trains ??? We are also rocking the beauty and the beast soundtrack, naturally.

Round 1 of trick or treating!!! Well it started with smiles and quickly moved into everyone hating mom and refusing to get out of the car.
Apparently trick or treat started at 2 and ended at 4 … (ummmm what the what ?!) and I thought it started at 4 ? … ????? But it ended with smiles and a few good laughs as the houses we went to shared all their parenting fails and unloaded their ENTIRE stashes into my kids buckets.
Honestly, it was the best! We had to fight for JOY and the kids had to dig deep for courage because usually we blend in with the herds and today, per momma’s usual, we were lone ducks as I got it all wrong. But GRACE y’all. Let’s give it and allow ourselves to receive it.
We made it to a few houses and met some lovely peeps, and my kids learned it’s OK to go against the grain.
And the Belle dress turned out! What do you think???!
