Dannette a friend bought me this batman notebook a few years ago. it’s not pretty, but it’s precious. it marks the beginning of a season of writing and journaling and listening to God’s voice and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I guess I’m a little sappy today because it’s almost full… soon I’ll be moving on to a new fancy one.
friends who encourage us to MORE are hard to find aren’t they? who nudge us to take steps into the unknown, to go deeper and farther than we think we are able, who want us to do the new things, the hard things. who tell us to put our capes on, that there’s a super hero within us because Jesus is IN us.
this simple notebook has been a reminder to me on the many days that I feel unworthy or not enough that I am called to MORE. that someone out there has my back and supports me. it’s crazy how this one unsightly notebook has meant so much.
I’m sharing this today because even though my friend can’t buy everyone this notebook, her words ring true for each of you.
you are called to follow Him. to go deeper and to take steps in His name. don’t worry about not being enough. there is a super hero that lives within you. All you have to do is PUT YOUR CAPE ON.
