Weeds. When we see a field of them, they seem pointless, don’t they? Small. All the same. Insignificant. But when we pluck one of these little guys and carefully look it over … it’s stunning. It stands alone in its uniqueness. No other weed, no other flower in all creation can bloom and glow the way this one special weed does. It has petals and colors and a place in the field all it’s own. It may appear to get lost in the countryside with those it stands among, but it’s only because of the vantage point from which we look. Its purpose, its beauty, its uniqueness remains the same.
I can’t help but think we’re all a little bit like this weed. We feel insignificant when we look at ourselves in light of the field of people we’re surrounded by. Some appear to be trees…some beautiful blooming flowers…and some, well we just look like weeds.
…
But the truth remains. There is beauty built into the fiber of each of us. And God doesn’t look at us in light of the person standing next to us… so we shouldn’t either. The purpose and place he has for each of us MATTERS… and there’s beauty there ?
