Baseball games.
I know I’m supposed to have my eyes on the field…just like my daughter is supposed to have her eyes on the ball. I giggle a lot when I watch her play. She’s a little timid and doesn’t know if she really belongs out on that field. She plays with the grass and stares at her lovely new pink cleats and gets lost in her 1st grade thoughts.
I have to admit that I’m not much different. I sit on the bleachers and squirm a bit these days. I keep finding myself staring up at the sky. The GLORY in the clouds above. It hangs above us in all it’s beauty and beckons to be seen. But all eyes are on the field.
*
I kept wanting to call out to the other people in the bleachers…LOOK AT THE SKY. But I kept quiet. I guess I’m the crazy mom who points her camera away from the field and up to the clouds. ?
So today I want to say what I didn’t the other night. LOOK AT THE SKY! Look at how our God loves us. He’s surrounded us with his beauty and glory and grace and too often we miss him in the moments. *
Let’s let our eyes wander from the field a bit today and see what God has for us.
